We’re thrilled you took the first step in joining Ainsley’s Angels! When joining anything new, we understand it can be overwhelming. So, we're taking the opportunity to calm your nerves and provide you with some fantastic knowledge as you embark on this new Angel journey.
What to expect before and on race day
When it comes to racing, we believe everyone should be included – no matter your ability, pace or experience. Making your first race day unforgettable is our priority! We strive to make you feel comfortable and included from the moment you join us.
After registering for AAA, you automatically receive ambassador emails and local race/event updates. You’ll receive email announcements 2-3 weeks prior to each event from your local ambassador.
- Respond directly to your local ambassador to express interest and communicate any specific requirements to your ambassador (i.e.: I need to borrow a racing chariot, my family would like to push, etc.)
- If applicable, your ambassador will share promo codes or special instructions to sign up for the race.
- Runners register on the race website, a link will be provided to you; most races are free for Riders, with no registration required.
- Are you a parent or guardian to a rider and you do not run? Don’t worry! We'll coordinate Rider-Runner pairings before race day.
- On race day, runners will meet their Rider to review their rider card, discuss any concerns, and practice pushing a racing chair beforehand.
- Rider info cards will be attached to racing chairs on race day, providing vital information in case of emergency.

Overview of our racing chairs
At Ainsley's Angels, we're dedicated to breaking down barriers and enabling individuals with disabilities to participate in adaptive sports. Our racing chairs play a vital role in this mission, and we're excited to share with you the thoughtful process we use to match each Angel rider with the perfect chair. In this email, we'll explore our equipment options, introduce our Chair Grant Program, and provide ways for you to get involved and support our inclusive initiatives.
Ever wondered how we choose the perfect chair for each rider? It's through our thoughtful evaluation process, ensuring a tailored fit for diverse needs and sizes. We offer three equipment options.
Learn more about our chairs by watching the video below.
If you are interested in purchasing your own chair, we have Our Chair Grant Program. Please note, owning a chair is not necessary as each ambassadorship provides equipment on race day. But if you are looking for your own, Ainsley's Angels stands ready to assist you with identifying and getting the right racing chair or bunch bike. We offer a direct purchase price that we guarantee will be the lowest you can find anywhere on the trustworthy internet.
You can:
- Donate a chair to support our mission
- Request a chair to empower an Angel rider
By providing adaptive equipment, we break down barriers and foster inclusive participation.
