Torch Run for Special Olympics – Tuesday, May 22
Ainsley’s Angels has been invited to participate in the annual Torch Run for Special Olympics. All Angel Runners must pay for and wear a Torch Run shirt for this event. Deadline to get a shirt is May 11.
Athlete Riders, please let Jarrett know as soon as possible if you are interested in rolling in one of the three legs through Fort Smith and Van Buren.
Leg One – 5 Miles
(7:30 am) Kick-off Celebration at Walmart on Zero to Fort Smith Police Department (8:55 am)
Leg Two – 5.1 Miles
(8:55 am) Fort Smith Police Department to Midland Bridge (10:10 am)
Leg Three – 3.65 Miles
(10:10 am) Midland Bridge through Van Buren to Crawford County Sherriff’s Office (10:50 am)

Hotfoot 5k, 10k, or 15k – Saturday, May 26 – Downtown Fort Smith
Jarrett needs to know as soon as possible if you are interested in being an Athlete Rider or an Angel Runner in this race. Please let me know which distance you are interested in running or rolling: 5k, 10k, or 15k. A 5k is 3.1 miles.
Super Hero Run for Autism 5k – Saturday, June 2 – Fort Chaffee
This race is the very next weekend after the Hotfoot. Please let me know if you are interested in running or rolling in this race that supports programs for persons with Autism. Dress as your favorite Super Hero! Please check our website for a list of all of our races in 2018 under “upcoming events.”
Ainsley’s Angels Day at Fort Smith Lake – Sunday, July 22
Kiwanis of Fort Smith is sponsoring a family day for us Sunday afternoon July 22 at Fort Smith Lake. There will be opportunities for fishing, enjoying the water, and canoeing. They will also have a pontoon boat for us to enjoy! Food and drinks are provided. You can get free tickets on the Arkansas page on the Ainsley’s Angels website under “upcoming events.” If you are an Angel Runners are also invited!
Anniversary Dinner and 5k – Friday and Saturday August 10-11
On August 10, 2017 our first Freedom chair was delivered to Arkansas. To celebrate one year of joy and inclusion, and to raise money for more chairs, we will have a dinner and a silent auction on August 10, 2018 at First Christian Church. Tickets can be purchased on the website. If you would like to help with this dinner, please let me know. We need help selling tickets, catering the meal, and acquiring silent auction items and door prizes. The following morning, we will have a 5k downtown Fort Smith. Runners, Riders, Sponsors and Volunteers are needed! Tickets can be purchased on the website. Angel Riders register for free. Angel Runners should contact Jarrett for a $10 off discount code. A paper registration form is also available.
