SUMMARY:Portage Lakes Triathlon & Duathlon
DESCRIPTION:PORTAGE LAKES STATE PARK\nSeptember 13\, 2026\n– The Portage Lakes Triathlon & Duathlon takes place at the 411-acre Portage Lakes Creek State Park outside Akron\, Ohio. Triathletes will be treated to swim courses in the beautiful Portage Lake. Duathletes will start off with a fast out and back run within the park. The bike courses are described as challenging with several climbs that will test your fitness but enough flat roads to recover and make up time. The final run is an out and back run that features a scenic run through the park on paved park roads. \nPortage Lake State Park offers a variety of outdoor recreational experiences. Boating\, sailing\, water skiing\, swimming and fishing are amongst some of the park’s most popular activities. The Portage Lake wetlands attract waterfowl and shorebirds providing park visitors enjoyment whether hunting or observing wildlife. \nSHIRT OR NO SHIRT\, EITHER WAY\, YOU WIN! \nEverything costs too much these days\, and we want to help! All entry fees for 2026 HFP’s Ohio multisport race series have been reduced by the cost of the race shirt to allow you to forgo the additional cost.  And if you want to memorialize your soon-to-be PR\, you have the option to purchase a race t-shirt when you register. Today\, HollyDELL is a distinguished private\, non-profit organization serving individuals from age 3 through adulthood with physical and medical challenges including cerebral palsy\, spina bifida\, muscular dystrophy\, autism and developmental delays with or without secondary learning challenges. \nLocated in four modern\, spacious buildings in Gloucester County\, HollyDELL serves children and adults from Gloucester\, Salem\, Cumberland\, Camden\, Burlington and Atlantic counties. DESCRIPTION:Our Eastern Carolina Ambassadorship made it’s debut at this event back in Sept. 2012 and we are so excited to return once again in celebration of our 14th Anniversary!\nAngel Runners- register on the race site as you typically would.\nAngel Riders- we will soon have registration codes for you to use when registering.\nPlease email easterncarolina@ainsleysnagels.org to let us know of your intent to participate in this event!\n\nExperience the storied legacy of the Marine Corps at the Marine Corps Half Marathon on Camp Lejeune. This flat and picturesque course offers runners breathtaking views of the New River\, Morgan Bay\, and Farnell Bay. You will travel between the fairways of the Paradise Point Golf Course\, where the Heroes Mile pays homage to fallen service members. The Marine Corps Half Marathon offers an unparalleled opportunity to honor tradition while embracing the natural beauty of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Must be 14yrs+ to register.\n\nThis course is not USATF certified.\n\n\nThis race is open to the public.\nDue to increased security measures\, the Trusted Traveler Program has been suspended. All runners and spectators 18 and older who do not currently possess a valid DoW ID with credentialed base access will need to obtain an event base access pass. In order for your pass request to be considered\, you MUST register for the race prior to requesting a pass through the IARA System. Instructions on how to request a pass will be contained in a confirmation email once you have registered for the race. We have worked with our Provost Marshall’s Office to make this process as easy as possible.

SUMMARY:Road Home Race (5K and 10K)
DESCRIPTION:The Road Home race is a fundraiser for Passageways.  We work with homeless veterans and help them get back on their feet and into a place of their own.  We have hosted a 5K and 1-mile fun run for the last 10 years.  In recent years\, we added a 10K\, as well. \nAll races will start and end at the Plum building inside Sedgwick County Pa \nrk.  This is a USATF-certified race\, and the Timer Guys will do the timing.  The routes will be posted closer to the race\, as will the schedule for the day. \nPassageways Road Home is a very patriotic race with flags lining a good portion of the race route.  We will also have a Presentation of Colors and Singing of the National Anthem before the start of the race.  Your race bib will include the name of a fallen military hero\, a currently serving military member\, or a veteran.  During registration\, you will be given the option to list a name you would like on your bib.
