The full Marathon course will be USATF Certified course and that means its a Boston Qualifying race\nPACKET PICKUP:  Early Packet pick-up will be at Point 2 running company in Chesapeake Friday\, April 19sth from 3-6pm! Race day pick-up will be from 6:15 -7:30 am!\nFLUIDS AND FOOD: There will be 4 aid stations with water for the half Marathon and 9 water stations for the full.\nAMENITIES & POST-RACE:  Finishers receive a Medal and Premium Long Sleeve Shirt. Onsite hospitality & refreshments. Post-race party onsite!\nTIME LIMITS: The Full Marathon will start at 7 am and Half Marathon will start at 7:30 AM! The finish line will close at 1:30 PM. Walkers may arrange an early start or self-time after 1:30 PM.\nAWARDS: Top 3 overall Males and Females and top 3 overall Masters Male & Female the top 3 males and females in 10-year age groups will receive awards!\nREGISTRATION:  Registration will be open until April 21\, 2024.\nLEGACY RUNNERS/STRIDERS PLUS: Discounts available thru April 21.\nCLUB MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS: A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available up thru April 23. DESCRIPTION:Tour de Cure is our premier cycling event for all ages and abilities. Choose the course that best suits you\, your family\, friends\, and coworkers. You will see beach cruisers\, to road bikes\, and all styles in between. Whether you are an occasional rider or an experienced cyclist\, the Tour de Cure has a little something for everyone. \nThe Tour de Cure: Mid-Atlantic event starts in the quaint and charming town of Smithfield\, then travels through the peaceful countryside of Isle of Wight and Surry Counties. All the routes will be well-marked and fully supported with bike mechanics\, volunteer route marshals\, rest stops with food and water\, cheering volunteers\, and more! When you return to the start/finish line\, you will enjoy a delicious post-ride meal\, adult beverage\, massage\, and finisher medal and delight in the music\, fun zone\, cheers\, and camaraderie around you. \nChampion Riders\, be sure to head over to the golden Champions Tent for your special thank-you gift. \nRed Riders\, be sure to stop by the Living Red Tent for your Red Rider jersey. \nChoose your distance and know that every mile helps make a difference. Whether you choose to ride in person or virtually\, all the roads we take will lead to the same destination – to fundraise for a cure and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. \nAA will be participating in the 30 mile ride this year.
