The full Marathon course will be USATF Certified course and that means its a Boston Qualifying race\nPACKET PICKUP:  Early Packet pick-up will be at Point 2 running company in Chesapeake Friday\, April 19sth from 3-6pm! Race day pick-up will be from 6:15 -7:30 am!\nFLUIDS AND FOOD: There will be 4 aid stations with water for the half Marathon and 9 water stations for the full.\nAMENITIES & POST-RACE:  Finishers receive a Medal and Premium Long Sleeve Shirt. Onsite hospitality & refreshments. Post-race party onsite!\nTIME LIMITS: The Full Marathon will start at 7 am and Half Marathon will start at 7:30 AM! The finish line will close at 1:30 PM. Indy Runners\, Indy Walker clubs and Butler University is welcoming us to participate with Ainsley’s Angels teams in the 5K distance in this race. Butler Blue\, Butler Cheer\, Hink\, and the Butler Pep Band will be out on the course to cheer you on. The money made in this race will be split between the three beneficiaries – Butler HRC student programs\, Indy Runners giving back initiatives\, and the Indy Humane Society. SUMMARY:Greater Goldsboro Road Run 10k/5k- Run for a child
DESCRIPTION:Description \nExperience one of the oldest road runs in North Carolina. Except for the 2020 year due to the pandemic\, the event has been held annually since 1979. Come be part of a running event with a long tradition and enjoy a run or walk on a USATF certified course primarily along streets lined with azaleas and dogwoods. \nThe Run for a Child – 45th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run is facilitated by the Sunrise Kiwanis of Goldsboro. The event is a fundraiser to help support our purpose of assisting the children and youth of our community. The funds generated from event sponsorships and participants go toward financial support for over 20 local organizations that assist the needy children and youth of Wayne County. \nOur 10K run\, 5K Run/Walk\, and 1-mile Fun Run routes are downtown again this year. The starting locations for all events will be near The Hub located at the Southeast intersection of Center and Chestnut Streets downtown in Goldsboro NC with all starting times beginning at 9:00 AM.
