DESCRIPTION:Come out and support this awesome fundraiser for Ainsley’s Angels in North Central Indiana. We are being hosted by CrossFit Kokomo.\nThere are opportunities for runners to join Shannon Spencer and Lynne Herr to run 4 miles every 4 hours starting Friday\, 3/1 at 11pm ending on Sunday\, 3/3 at 7pm. You can run any number of legs up to joining the team on all 12 legs. We will have opportunities for riders to participate at 11am & 3pm on Sat\, 3/2 & Sun 3/3. We will have a Magic Show at 1pm on Saturday. We will be visited by the animals from Ark Therapy Animals at noon Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Branded merchandise (lots of new) will be available for purchase 10:30am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Donations will also be accepted. If you have been thinking about joining us\, this is the perfect opportunity to come join us in a no pressure atmosphere. DESCRIPTION:The 52nd running of the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend will take place in Virginia Beach\, Virginia on March 15-17\, 2024. This St. Paddy’s Day tradition has a race distance for every goal: Marathon\, Half Marathon\, 8K\, and challenges. No matter the distance\, you’ll experience the best of Coastal Virginia on our flat\, fast\, and scenic course before you cross the finish line overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The party continues after the race at our post race celebration on the beach with Yuengling Beer and live music.

DESCRIPTION:Due to the generosity of the race director and his support of the Ainsley’s Angels mission\, he will be providing our Angels with FREE registration codes for this event! \nThe Difference180 Recovery is hosting our 7th Annual Run for Recovery Awareness. The theme “Becoming Part of the Solution” will focus on what you can do as an individual to be a help in your community. Since the pandemic there has been an outbreak in drug addictions\, suicides\, depression and isolation. It is our mission to bring hope and healing to those who have been affected by these evil influences.\nOne of the key factors to help someone in recovery is to get them in a culture of a healthy “Family” or “Community”.  This is what we want to provide at the Difference 180 Recovery Meetings. We are a faith-based program.\nThere will be Finisher Medals issued out to all Registered Runners.  Also for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for the 5K and 10K  will be an additional medal issued out for each age group.  Best Overall times will receive a trophy.\nThis year we have added a children’s 100 yard dash. This will start around 10am. This is for children from 4-10 years old. No awards will be given for this race. However\, we do have a special surprise for each of the finishers!

SUMMARY:Coast Guard Marathon Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Come for the run and stay for the fun! The Coast Guard Marathon is an annual endurance event held the beginning of April in Elizabeth City\, North Carolina. First held in 2021 to celebrate the Coast Guard and the Officially Designated Coast Guard City of Elizabeth City\, the very first Coast Guard Marathon was held virtually due to pandemic closures.  The U.S. Coast Guard\, Elizabeth City Community\, and runners from all over the world were able to gather for the first in-person edition of the races in March of 2022. Although one of the newest of the Prestigious Military Races\, the Coast Guard Marathon has had participants from every Military Branch\, all 50 states\, and numerous countries throughout the world.  \nRace weekend features four event distances; a marathon\, half marathon\, 5K\, and 1K Kids’ Run as well as two Semper Paratus Challenge Series where runners can earn a challenge coin after completing the 5K and half marathon or marathon in one weekend. Other exciting events include our two-day Coast Guard Marathon Expo\, A Toast to the Coast Guard Dinner\, Finish Line Festival\, and After Party. \nOur fast and flat Boston Qualifying marathon course features a beautiful waterfront through a historic town filled with southern charm and the opportunity of a lifetime to run on the U.S. Coast Guard Base Elizabeth City runway. We look forward to sharing our Southern Hospitality!

SUMMARY:Eastern Run/Walk for Autism
DESCRIPTION:Description\nAs many as 1 in 54 children may be diagnosed with autism in the United States. You can make a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families by registering for the Virtual Run/Walk for Autism. Even though we cannot celebrate in person this year\, you can make an even bigger impact by recruiting family members\, friends\, and co-workers from across the country to form a team and raise donations. Now more than ever\, individuals with autism and their families need you! \nProceeds from the Virtual Run/Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina\, the leading statewide resource organization serving the people in NC across the spectrum throughout their lifespans. Participation in this event has helped ASNC to open a Social Recreation Centers in Eastern NC that offers summer day camps\, afterschool care\, and adult programs. Funding from the Run/Walk also enabled ASNC to bring other programs to the region\, including LifeLong Interventions\, ASNC’s comprehensive treatment program for children and adults\, and workshops with ASNC clinical experts.
