DESCRIPTION:Pender County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special OlympicsSaturday\, May 16th \nEvent Details: \nThis will be a 5 Mile route starting from Hampstead United Methodist Church (15395 US-17\, Hampstead\, NC 28443) and ending at the NHRMC Emergency Department North at 151 Scotts Hill Medical Drive Wilmington\, NC. \nThe run will cover a total of 5 miles\, but participants do not need to run the entire distance as there will be Prison Emergency Response vehicles & bus traveling with our group for transportation. You can chose how many miles you want to run\, whether it be 1 mile or all 5 miles.  We ask that everyone start the run together and then again at the last 0.25 as a group\,  so we can get a great group photo of all the runners. We will be joining representatives from DPS- SHP\, DPS- Prison (Pender CI & New Hanover CC)\, Pender County Sheriff\, Burgaw Police Department\, and Surf City Police Department. Only members of law enforcement\, military and Special Olympics Athletes may carry the torch. Athlete riders who are also Special Olympics athletes are invited to participate.There are no team pairings as everyone will be switching off pushing our athlete riders so that anyone who wants the opportunity to push may take turns doing so. \nAll participants/volunteers must check in at the Volunteer tent at the Pender County Annex\, turn in the mandatory waiver forms and pick up your t-shirt. All participants and volunteers are also required to purchase a 2026 Torch Run t-shirt ($25) and wear it for the run that day. Shirts will be available for pickup Saturday morning. (Cash\, check & Square available).

DESCRIPTION:404 church st\nColumbia\, LA US 71418 \nMiles for Missions is an annual 1 Mile Fun Run and 5k with all proceeds going to support youth and their summer Mission Trip!  We are moving back to town!  With the growth of our run the last couple of years\, parking has become more of an issue for our run.  We are so thankful that we have been able to partner with Spartan Fitness for the start and finish of our race.  This year we will move back to town to the church for the start and finish.  It will be at First Baptist Church\, 404 Church St. Columbia LA 71418.  We are also going to have a family day following the race!  We will have food and lots of fun for the entire family.  This is an officially timed race. 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:00 sharp.  5k will begin at 8:30 AM.    We do print extra shirts and purchase extra medals for race day but sizes are not guaranteed.  Everyone receives a finisher medal.  There is an overall prize for 1st place in Men’s and Women’s.  There is a 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place medal for each age category\, starting with 18 and under\, 19-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70-79 and 80 and older. \nNELA Monroe Ainsley’s Angels will be participating in the event. DESCRIPTION:Place\n960 Ye Greate St\nGreenwich\, NJ US 08323\n\n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\n Celebrate the rich history of one of South Jersey’s oldest towns as you run the quiet streets of Greenwich New Jersey.  The route takes you through scenic farmland and past quaint historical buildings. The race starts and ends at the Gibbon House. Proceeds from the race help support the Cumberland County Historical Society.\n*After the race stick around for the awards and post race party.  We will have a food truck on site.   We also encourage you to visit some of the wonderful museums the town has to offer.  This race will kick off the opening weekend of 2025. We will have giveaways and free  tours.\nThis year we added a 13.1 distance \n*Courses are flat and fast.  Only 92 ft of elevation on the 10 miler! \n***Courses are in the process of being certified. \nAwards: Top 3 male and female overall\nAge group awards (under 15\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\,50-59\,60-69\, 70+)\nFinisher Medals  and Shirts (sign up by 4/10 to be guaranteed a shirt)  included with registration.\nRace Day Schedule \n\n7:30 Checkin Starts\n8:30 13.1\, 0 mile/10k starts\n8:35 5k/ 1 mile starts\nAward ceremonies will begin as each race finishes
