We’re building a racing family\, and we’ve got a spot saved just for you. \n\n📅 Race Day Details\n\n\nWhen: July 4th \n\n\n4-Mile Run/Walk: Starts promptly at 7:30 AM \n\n\nKids Race: Starts at 8:30 AM \n\n\nAttire: Show off your spirit! Wear your best red\, white\, and blue. \n\n\n🤝 Racing for a Cause\nYour participation does more than just get your heart pumping—it supports the community! SUMMARY:Louisiana Watermelon Festival
DESCRIPTION:Place\n403 N. Main St\nFarmerville\, LA US 71241\n\n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\nThe 2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k event offers a great challenge to local runners and walkers. This course is a fast first mile downhill followed by what we like to affectionately call Watermelon Mountain at mile 2. \nThis year\, proceeds from the event will go to Willpower Foundation\, Inc. This is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana that host events to race money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Learn more about the organization from their website linktr.ee/willpowerfoundation. \nTo top it all off\, at the end of the race there will be slices of locally grown Louisiana Watermelon for all finishers to enjoy. \nYour race entry will include this year’s race t-shirt guaranteed for online registration until July 14th\, 2026! \nRace day registration begins at 6:30 AM in parking lot in front of the Farmerville First Baptist Church\, 403 N. Main St.\, Farmerville\, LA 71241. \nRace begins at 7:30 AM \nAwards will be given for the following Age groups: \nMale and Female \n1st Overall\n1st Overall Masters \n1st\, 2nd & 3rd Place \n0-9        10-14 \n15-19      20-24 \n25-29      30-34 \n35-39      40-44 \n45-49      50-54 \n55-59      60-64 \n65-69     70 and over \nONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES: July 25th at 4p \nRACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL BE $40 \nRoller blades and skates are prohibited on the racecourse.er \n\n\n\n\n2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k \nNELA Monroe Ainsley’s Angels will be participating in the event.
