There was just something about Ainsley. Michelle Smith, a teacher at Thompson Early Childhood Center, said there was something instantaneous that stood out about Ainsley Rossiter. Rossiter, who is now 11-years old, was a student in Smith’s class. Born with a rare terminal illness that causes paralysis, Rossiter has overcome many challenges in her young years. Smith said the way she chooses to live her life has had a profound impact on her- so much so that it motivated Smith to start a chapter of Ainsley’s Angels in Eastern North Carolina in 2012.
